🎥 Record Breaking Evo Takes Flight- Brutal Crosswinds Catch Parachute Lifting Car Almost A FOOT AND A HALF Off the Ground!
When you’re blasting down the drag strip you have a quarter of a mile to throw down and make your way to that finish line as fast as you possibly can, however, when you watch a pass like this, you can’t help but think that maybe this pass used a little bit more. We’re thinking that maybe this machine used closer to .26 miles as the driver threw down, rocketing out of the hole on multiple occasions and really being forced to pilot this thing as it was all over the track, making the absolute most of every last inch of racing surface, pushing the car to the limit.
When all the results were in, it was most certainly worth it as the Mitsubishi Evolution pushed its way into the record books for the platform, not only in the United States but also bridging the seas and breaking down world records as well! It has to feel like quite the accomplishment to be taking home records with a platform that is so established and has so many people fighting their way to the top. With a quickest pass of 8.21-seconds, blowing through the US record which is complimented by a 185 mph trap speed that makes its way to the record books for the entire world! This thing is rolling out with the best of them!
Check out the video below as the guys from That Racing Channel get us up close and personal with the car along with showcasing exactly what it’s capable of doing in the quarter. When this thing really hooks up, it’s nothing but a pleasure to watch as it rips through the gears and puts everyone around on notice! This machine most certainly isn’t one that you’re going to want to mess with and watching the clip below will definitely back up that idea.
