1000+ HP Duramax has Slicks on All 4 Corners and Needs Them!
The world of drag racing is a beast with a funny nature. there are all sorts of different drag racing classes and vehicle types that are rising in popularity quickly, putting certain machines at the forefront that might not have been so popular as racing candidates just a couple of years ago. Diesel trucks are one of those platforms that technology has really helped propel to the forefront of the racing scene recently. A decade or so ago, you would’ve never expected one of these torquey monsters to be something that could be fast but by taking one look at the trucks around the country today, you see that diesel performance tuners have definitely figured out a way to make their 4×4 trucks make their way down the strip with a vengeance.
In this particular scene, we head out the Cecil County Dragway as the BigKleib34 cameras are rolling on a Chevrolet Silverado with a Duramax power plant that looks like it’s ready to crank out some pain! With a couple of choice modifications, this 4×4 is able to launch hard and keep that power spooling through the big end of the dragstrip, managing to push its way to 10-second passes on boost alone. The owner claims that, to date, he has never hit it with nitrous on the strip but when he sprayed it on the dyno, The truck was able to crank out over 1000 hp. On the setup that you see in this video, it’s making somewhere in the mid 900s.

You have got to appreciate a truck that weighs in at 6700 pounds pushing its way to 10s at almost 130mph with those rowdy 4-wheel launches.
