New 2019 Ram 3500 HD Tows the Maximum Load (35k LBS!)
For those who are looking to carry the most supersized load possible, it’s hard to compete with one particular truck in the 2020 market. The 2020 Ram 3500HD claims to offer up the most towing capacity of any of the HD trucks available. Now, for most consumers who invest in these things, said towing capacity that we see here might not be something that will ever be used to the fullest. However, for those who need a little bit more out of their truck, the brute can be expected to shoulder 35,000 lbs.
In order to help elaborate a little bit more on what exactly the new Ram 3500 can accomplish, TFL Truck is joined by the Chief Engineer for Ram Heavy Duty. When it comes to the end all be all for folks who know everything there is know about a truck like this, this is our guy!
It’s pretty interesting to get a perspective like this on such a machine. It really gives us an inside line on what can be expected. We think that he summed up the idea behind the Ram nicely when he talked about how it was designed with a focus of pulling as much of the effort off of the shoulders of the operator as possible. For those who have ever pulled a trailer, they know that it can certainly be a stressful experience. This is especially true if the truck in question isn’t all the way up to par. It seems as if this RAM, in particular, aims to really be able to tackle the big loads, though, all without having the operator exhausted at the end of the day.
The video below not only takes us for a ride to see what exactly it’s like to hook up the heaviest possible load to the most capable heavy duty truck on the market but we also get a wealth of information, explaining more than anyone could ever want or need to know about such a machine. We have to admit that it certainly is a joy to hear somebody who knows so much about a truck like this talk a little bit about why it is such a monster.
