1968 Chevrolet Caprice Custom “Acacia” Weaver Customs 2018 Detroit Autorama
Detroit’s Autorama, to a gearhead, is basically like waking up as a kid on Christmas morning knowing that there’s going to be all kinds of presents under the tree. The joy inside begins to rise until you get to walk around the show and see all of the hard work invested into all sorts of different platforms in the name of making them pop out amongst the crowd that features some incredible builders.
ScottieDTV was out at the show and we’re sure that he caught tons of insanely crisp and clean builds. This one most certainly falls into that category as he catches up with something a little bit different in a Chevrolet Caprice. While most folks are out there working on the tried and true vehicles like Mustangs and Camaros to bring to shows like this, in this case, we see the work of a builder who wanted to try out something that was just a little bit different and when you get a good look at the details presented by this ride, I think that it’s safe to say that it was more than worth it.
The old school Chevrolet really brings together lots of brave styling cues that, when looked at as a whole, come together quite nicely as they surround the supercharged late model LSA power under the hood, giving this thing a nice little touch of modern meets classic that you’ve got to enjoy as any sort of gear head.
The video of the car can be seen below. Take a look at the ride in its entirety and be sure to pick out which feature of this detail-oriented machine is your favorite. There are so many to pick from here and we get a feeling that you’re going to have a hard time finding just one!
