2000hp Wheelie King Shelby GT500 – NASTY Mustang Throws Down
To the untrained eye observing drag racing, it could look easy. The effort might just seem like a bunch of racers going in a straight line and adding more power to go faster. For the well acquainted, we don’t have to tell you that there’s a lot more going on than that. For the fastest machines, there are tons of variables that need to come together just right. This means lots of tweaking and tuning to get it all dialed in. On the way there, things can get rather rowdy sometimes!
We all know that racing isn’t just about the competition or about chasing down that best pass but also about those adrenaline-filled moments where things don’t go exactly as expected. One category that you could stick in that bigger category would be when cars find a way to transfer all of their power to the rear tires, taking the weight along with it, and sending the nose of the car up into the air in an epic wheelie. It might not be the most efficient but boy does it put on a show!
In order to bring us the action this time, we turn to a BigKleib34 video. This time, the cameras captured a moment that you’ve got to see as the Shelby GT500 by the name of “Devil’s Reject” straight from Evolution Performance went all the way up! We get to watch as the car prepares for liftoff, sending the nose into the sky. Even after that, though, when the car touches back down, it just doesn’t want to stay there as the grabber blue stang ends up lifting the tires back up again for an even bigger wheelie! All of the drama comes a few times before bouncing a couple of times and coming back to a rolling rest.
In the video down below, we’re able to follow along with an intense moment from the strip as we get to appreciate a spectacular angle of it all. After checking out this wild ride that had to crank up the adrenaline for all involved, be sure to tell us what your thoughts are on such a display.
