2015 Saleen S302 Mustang Specs Revealed, Order Books Opened
Following yesterday’s release of a teaser shot of its 2015 S302 Mustang, Saleen has now released all the tasty specs and announced that it’s started taking orders for the car. The 2015 S302 Mustang is Saleen’s first take on the 2015 Ford Mustang, and having tuned Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] products for decades you can bet Saleen’s offerings for the sixth-generation car will be some of the best in the business.

The S302 is due to be revealed in full later this year (we’re guessing in the lead up to November’s SEMA show) and will be available in both coupe and convertible bodystyles. The car is based on the 2015 Mustang GT but offers improved performance, looks and exclusivity.
There are three trim levels to choose from: White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. White Label is the starter pack and offers up 450 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. That’s a decent bump over the 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of the stock Mustang GT, but where the party’s really at is in either the Yellow or Black Label cars. Here, output is bumped up to a supercar-rivaling 640 hp and 565 lb-ft of torque.
To achieve these numbers, Saleen’s engineers have added a supercharger, freed up the breathing and added an uprated fuel system. The cars also get a limited-slip differential and the choice of manual or automatic transmissions. Wheels range from 19-20 inches in diameter, and come in six different styles. Brakes, meanwhile, range up to 15 inches in diameter, with six-piston calipers.

Upgrades unique to the range-topping Black Label model is a front bumper with additional intakes and LED daytime running lights, carbon fiber elements, and some extra details at the rear. The Black Label model also gets a host of unique suspension upgrades including new shocks, springs and sway bars.
As mentioned, Saleen is currently taking orders for the 2015 S302 Mustang. Full pricing details will be announced closer to the launch.
“This is a very exciting time for the Mustang community as this is the first all-new model since 2005,” Steve Saleen said in a statement. “With the upgraded engine and independent rear suspension, the new car promises to be the highest performance Mustang yet.”
