2017 Ford F-150 vs 2017 Ram 1500! Towing and MPG Review
The automotive scene has been changing across the board in recent years, going in a different direction where smaller engines are being put in place as manufacturers aim to squeeze out every last drop of efficiency, making every cubic inch of displacement go a little bit further.
With 2017 freshly on the horizon, we have even more concepts that are relatively new to the market including a quarter ton Ram that’s fitted with a diesel engine, something that hasn’t exactly happened on a grand scale for any manufacturer in the past and a boosted v6 engine in the Ford F-150, also a relatively new concept.
How will these trucks do when towing, especially how it relates to their respective fuel economies? Well, this time, that’s exactly what we’re going to find out as both trucks are fitted with 7,000 lbs of trailer cargo and head out to the highways for some real world testing.
Check out the video below from the crew over at The Fast Lane Truck that dives into these trucks head on with the aim of giving us the best representation possible of how exactly these machines will operate when you get them up to speed on the open highway!
