21 Cars From Paul Walker’s Collection Auctioned Off at Barrett-Jackson
Among celebrities in Hollywood, it seems as if Paul Walker was one of those with the biggest affinity for cars. Sure, some seem like gear heads on screen, but is it just acting? In Walker’s case, it wasn’t even close. He seemed to have a massive passion for everything with wheels. In fact, as we have seen, Walker had an entire warehouse full of some of his favorite vehicles. As we know, Walker passed away several years ago now. Therefore, different pieces of his collection are being broken up.
Most recently, we would see that a portion of that collection would make its way to the Barrett-Jackson Auction. With 21 cars to choose from, fans would have the chance to get their hands on some crazy rides. One of the things that we notice when talking about Walker’s collection is that it’s incredibly diverse. In this portion alone, we see vehicles from different classes and areas of the world. Some of them are more common but there are also a few that crank up the rarity factor. It doesn’t seem as if price really made something more valuable in Walker’s eyes. It was all about the car itself.
When all was said and done with the 21 vehicles, they brought in an average of more than $100,000 each. In total, the bids would yield $2,333,450. However, there was one section of the lot that seemed to draw the most attention. These cars would be worth some pretty good money, even without Walker’s name attached to them.
The draw was five white BMW M3 Lightweight Editions. The Hollywood Reporter informs us that “The 1995 E36, with just 4,600 miles, brought in the highest dollar amount of the lot: $385,000. The other four drew prices from $220,000 to $258,500.”
