3000HP Golden Gorilla Dewayne “Big Daddy” Mills Attacks Lights Out 8
“Big Daddy” Dewayne Mills and his wicked Golden Gorilla Camaro spent most of 2015 and 2016 at the top of the Radial vs the World food chain. He reeled off an impressive string of wins, while also laying claim to the national ET record for much of that period. Mills and his Sand Springs, Oklahoma-based crew certainly made the most of their time at the top, capping 2016 with a win at No Mercy 7, where he took home the win following a spectacular final-round matchup with Joe Albrecht.
His 2017 campaign didn’t get off to the start he wanted thanks to some changes in his combination, but with some of the best tuners and crew members in the sport in his corner, Mills wasted little time in flexing his muscles and getting the car back into the 3.80’s at Lights Out 8. While he’s still a tenth off of the national record, Dewayne will certainly have his tuneup dialed in shortly and be knocking on the door of that top spot, and he’s always had the consistency to go rounds on raceday, so look for him to be back in the winner’s circle soon!
