There are lots of ways to get down the track in the fastest way possible and even though it’s not as prevalent as piston power, the rotary powered guys most certainly do create some builds that can do some damage to the competition out there on the drag strip.

This time, we check out a selection of five rotary powered Mazda RX-7 monsters that really make their presence felt out at the Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals at Maryland International Raceway. These lightweight machines are really ready to roll out.

You’d better be strapped up and ready to go because these things are downright fast with the slowest of the group still in the single digits of quarter mile elapsed time and the fastest ringing the bell of the competition to the tune of a high 6-second pass and seeing speeds of over 200 mph.
