7-Second Grand National – Turbo V8 Swapped Buick!
When it comes to cars that enthusiasts are willing to go to war over, the Buick Grand National is most certainly one of those cars. Pulling the original turbocharged V6 out of one of these black beauties wouldn’t hurt anybody per se, but a diehard might just shed a couple of tears and throw out some fighting words should you do so.
This time, we check out a machine whose builder simply doesn’t look to care too much about the enthusiasts as he is focused on going fast and nothing else. Therefore, the brains behind this operation decided to yank out the original motor and replace it with a turbocharged V8.
We watch the boosted work of art as it hits the track at Maryland international Raceway for the Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals and manages to spool up and blast its way all the way to a couple of passes that are well into the seven-second range.
