707 HP Trackhawk vs BMW X6M -1/4 mile Drag Race
In this day and age, it seems like everything from the sports cars that you would expect to be fast all the way to the SUVs that maybe give you a little bit more of a sleeper style are all getting quicker and quicker. One of the areas that’s really fun to take a look at is that of performance biased SUVs. These machines are built to not only be able haul the family around and also grab up some groceries at the same time but also be able to make their way through a track or down the street in the fastest amount of time possible when you punch that throttle to really experience the power that lies under the hood.
This time, we check out a couple of vehicles that fall right into that weight class, the ones that are incredibly heavy but also have the power to match which balances it all out in a package that’s a ton of fun to watch as it makes its way down the drag strip. In one corner of this bout, we have the Trackhawk, The Jeep Grand Cherokee that’s decked out with all sorts of performance paraphernalia that cranks the horsepower up to 707. In the other corner, we see a BMW X6M, a machine that levitates in the mid-500s power wise and is a touch lighter on the scale as well, 200 lbs or so to be exact.
If you follow along in the video below, you’ll watch these two heavyweight titans go to war with one another. While the BMW did end up red lighting, the times that were posted on the board at the end of the race still hold true to be accurate. After these two are done spitting out their best effort down the quarter mile, be sure to tell us what you think of the results that are thrown into our laps as these beasts show their worth.
