8,000 RPM shifting in a 540 cubic inch big block Corvette

While big cubic inch v8 engines have the ability to make some serious power, they don’t do so through revving super high like smaller displacement engines tend to do.

This time, however, we catch up with a big block V8 under the hood of a Chevrolet Corvette that basically screams Americana with every touch of the throttle.

In this one, we ride along with the old-school Chevy as the driver rips that big block to 8000 RPM before slamming gears while the car slides all over the road.
