TURBO FAIL – 1000hp Mustang Kills a Turbo!

When this Ford Mustang owner took a pass down the strip with his turbo LSx Fox Body, he was in for a bit of a surprise as the turbo blows apart, causing maximum carnage.

Here’s what 1320video had to say about the incident:

“This 88mm Turbo powered LSx Fox Body with around 980hp makes a test pass down the drag strip at the ALL OUT CALL OUT in Albuquerque, NM and KILLLLLS the turbo.

It’s not just a little bent shaft or clipped fins on the compressor wheel… it LOSES the shaft and completely separates the compressor housing, something we haven’t seen in person before! Quite the shower of sparks as the turbo has a COME APART!”
