Boosted Toytota Starlet Wheel Comes Off at Pan American Nationals

When they say “drive it until the wheels fall off,” generally the phrase is meant as an expression of speech, but this time it’s taken quite literally.

When this guy attempted to launch his Toyota Starlet, it looks as if the traction was a bit too much for his lug nuts as the car gripped hard at Atco Dragway and the track claimed the wheel studs.

Even though this car probably weighs next to nothing, the now broken parts were no match for the hard launch that was about to ensue.

Check out the video below as the Toyota attempts to go wild and gets pulled back down to Earth in a hurry. Looks like there’s nothing left to do now except use this excuse to build it stronger!
