Many will tell you that the street is the great equalizer because no matter what you roll up in, the street is unforgiving and will separate the good drivers from the bad.

As a result, we end up seeing a lot of door to door racing that comes right down to the wire, at the last second, much like this race on the street did.

When a Datsun packing a 1.3L rotary powerplant went head to head with a 427SBF powered Ford Mustang with a bit of nitrous, the end result was almost too close to call.

Check out this pair of cars going at it in the video below and tell us what you think of this showdown. It looks to us like the Mustang might have been victorious by a nose, but we really can’t be sure.
