“Friends” Star, Matt LeBlanc to Join New Top Gear Presenting Crew
If you consider yourself a gearhead in any capacity, then you’ve seen or at least heard of the classic British series known to us as Top Gear.
In March of last year, 2015, we learned that the show’s lead host, Jeremy Clarkson, didn’t have the best relationship with the producers. When combined with other controversial situations that he found himself in that the producers didn’t necessarily agree with, Clarkson would be let go and his crew would follow. They would eventually find their way to a new show on Amazon together.
As Top Gear is slated to continue on without the trio of hosts, they will be tasked with the tall order of finding replacements for a crew that is nothing less than legendary.
While the first host would be named Chris Evans, the second lead role would be left to Matt LeBlanc, best known for his role as Joey in the pop culture cornerstone, Friends.
Now, you might be thinking that this is a rather odd selection, but we’re told that LeBlanc is pretty familiar with the world of wheels and even holds the number one spot amongst the show’s “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment.
While we are getting a better picture of what the show will look like, only time will tell if it will be able to successfully carry on with an entirely new cast. Will you be watching the reboot?
