Spare Tire Stretch – Fitting a 125 on a Full Size Rim

We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that just because you can do something doesn’t really mean that you should go out and try it.

With that in mind, when watching this group of guys take a tire off of a spare tire and stretch it onto a regular wheel, we can’t help but wonder if this is a joke or if they’re actually dumb enough to try this.

If it is for real, we can’t say that we would be surprised with all the car community antics that we see today but these guys might want to be careful if the wheel does end up making it out to the road.

You see, spare tires are rated for low rates of speed and are only meant to get you around until you can find a replacement. When stretched like this, the results could prove to be pretty ugly.

Check out the process in the video below that has left us scratching our heads. Maybe we’re missing something here, but this really seems like a lose/lose situation to us.
