When it comes to Naval transportation, we’re sure that there is a lot of trial and error that goes into finding the most efficient way of navigating the seas.
This time, we check out an interesting attempt at making said navigation happen just a bit more quickly than we’re used to, a method that we’re not sure is in use any longer.
When attaching hydrofoil technology to a ship, it would become the fastest in the U.S. Navy, allowing it to slice through the water like a hot knife through butter.
Due to other cost concerns, however, these foils were discontinued. Check out the video below that tells us all about their stint as incredibly quick and sharp weapons of transportation.
