The ETS Nissan GTR just set the GTR 1/2 mile world record: 244.83mph

In the ever-so-competitive standing mile world, records are being broken and challenged constantly. This weekend, we took the overall standing half-mile record with our UGR-X Huracan at this event. Extreme Turbo Systems is a big name in the GT-R world, so they figured they better build the fastest GT-R possible and then put Lucas English behind the wheel.

Their newest creation took to Shift S3ctor’s Oregon Airstrip Attack in full attack mode. On this run, they pushing 55 pounds of boost through the GT-R’s V6. While the AWD system on the GT-R lets it get out of the hole quick, its still a heavy car and needs a lot of power to get it down the road at these speeds.

This same car took the GT-R 1/4-mile world record not long ago with a run of 7.3 @ 213.42mph! This means that in that next 1/4 mile, they had to pick up over 30mph to take the record. This is no small feat, but the 2,500hp Nissan wasn’t afraid to take on the challenge.

While they may not have touched our overall record, they’re officially the fastest GT-R in the standing 1/2 mile. Check out this video of the GT-R setting the record at Shift S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack.
