FRS Goes Fully Airborne While Drifting, Driver Error?
Drifting is one part driving skill, one part artistry. Sometimes all it takes is a momentary lapse of either to end up screwing up your line and having an unexpected meeting with the wall.
That’s exactly what happened to this drifter. YouTube vlogger AMBush Drift is taking the lead on a run and barely gets into the course before sliding off the track and abruptly tagging the retaining wall, sending his Toyota FRS a couple of feet into the air. It’s hard to say what caused the off-road excursion, though it could have been as simple as some dust on the track or the driver getting just overzealous enough with the steering wheel or the throttle. Regardless, the car took a pretty hard hit, leading to a less-than-enthusiastic reaction.
Unfortunately, the damage was pretty severe, leaving the car undriveable and the days drifting festivities ended for the FRS. At least he was able to swap out some damaged parts and drive the car home.
