Bugzilla Crashes and Flips in a Ball of Fire at Lights Out 8
When it comes to drag racing, there’s always the possibility that, somewhere right around the corner, a big wreck lies in the shadows, waiting to consume one or both of the cars on the track. Nobody really wants it to happen but, sometimes the big one rears its ugly head.
This scenario shows off one of the uglier wrecks in recent memory that has the Volkswagen Beetle known as “BugZilla” heading down the lanes for the first round of Radial vs The World qualifying at Lights Out 8 and the pass ends in what was nearly the worst way possible.
The only reason that we say “nearly the worst way” is simply because the driver was able to walk away without injury. Other than the driver being safe and sound, which is, at the end of the day, the most important thing, the car is completely trashed as it rolled over multiple times and ended up catching on fire after the pass.
The guys over at The Racing Vids were able to capture the moment on film and bring it to us and this one most certainly got brutally ugly. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that the driver was okay and that’s all that really matters because other than that, there really isn’t too much positive that we can take from something like this. Hopefully, the team can get rolling with another car in the near future.
