Pontiac Trans Am vs Cadillac CTS-V Crash – Caddy Slams into the Wall
For many drivers, in a situation like this, where the opposition is out ahead by a boat load and the race is pretty much over before it even started due to an apparent lack of traction, the second place driver will concede to the fact that they’ve been beat and let out of the throttle to reduce any opportunity for damage to rear its ugly head and now we see why.
This time, it’s a Pontiac Trans Am gathering a substantial lead on a Cadillac CTS-V, but the driver of the V simply isn’t giving up on this matchup. While that kind of persistence and “no quit” attitude can certainly be admirable, this time, it doesn’t end up quite panning out for the driver of this Caddy as things end up getting pretty darn ugly a lot faster than anyone expected.
It almost impossible not to cringe as this luxury performance machine gets sideways and, as it seems to be out of reach for the driver to save in the situation, the car careens straight into the wall, almost making a 90° angle with the immovable concrete mass before doing some big-time damage as all of that inertia comes to a stop in a hurry.
After watching the video below, I think that we can all agree pretty much that this thing has reached the point of being completely totaled. It’s really a shame to watch someone’s pride and joy go down like that, especially in a situation that insurance companies won’t touch, but at the end of the day, it’s the risk you run when you head out to the race track.
