Leah Pritchett – Anatomy of a Record Run (featuring 11000HP)!
Leah Pritchett and the Papa Johns Pizza top fuel team, running under the Don Schumacher Racing banner for 2017, are kicking absolute ass so far this season. Pritchett’s team has been low qualifier and taken the win in both events so far in 2017, jumping out to a healthy lead in the points thanks to both Leah’s driving prowess and the incredible job her team, led by tuner Todd Okuhara, has done providing her a lighting quick, yet dependably consistent car.
The video crew at Hoonigan recently spent some time with Pritchett, shadowing the talented young pilot as she went through the process of suiting up and making a 1,000′ run in her 11,000 horsepower hotrod, currently the quickest car on the planet. This is some excellent footage that you won’t often see, as the TV cameras rarely offer this level of intimacy with any one team. Follow along as Leah suits up her safety gear, goes through her pre-race routine in the cockpit, then stages up and blasts to a ridiculous 3.677 elapsed time at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, located just outside Phoenix, Arizona.
Best of luck keeping up the great performance, Leah! We’re pulling for you and Papa John’s most ridiculous delivery vehicle!
