4000hp Corvette Takes Full Flight at Tulsa Raceway Park
In the world of drag racing we see so many close calls, wheelies, and wild races but in this one, we check out something truly wild that went down and it’s really mind-bending to watch unfold as physics take their course and bring a harsh reality to the front door of Daniel Pharris when he hops behind the wheel of his 4,000hp Chevrolet Corvette and turned a wheelie into something he most certainly wasn’t expecting on that crisp day of drag racing. It’s incredible and terrifying alike to watch as he went sky high with this one and slammed down pretty hard. You know that he had to be feeling this one for quite some time!

Urban Hillbilly YouTube Videos, the folks behind this one, chimed in and this is what they had to say about the whole situation:
The Called it “One of the most INSANE drag racing passes they have filmed in the last 17 years.” Describing the situation and setting the scene with “Daniel Pharris driving Andrew Alepa’s beautiful Twin Turbo Corvette -vs- Brandon Pesz during the Radial Revenge event at Tulsa Raceway Park. Driver was out and OK but the car took a brutal hit. It looks like it could have been much worse if the front clip had not peeled off mid flight.”
It’s certainly not every day that you see something like this unfold and when you do, all that you can really do is try to contain yourself as you witness a high horsepower beast become detached from the track beneath it and, with what could have potentially been one small mistake somewhere along the line, go airborne, leaving the driver to hang on for dear life.
Honestly, it looks like the aftermath of the race unfolded in about the most ideal way. We’ve seen lots of cars in similar predicaments take on a lot more damage by rolling over and landing on all fours here was an absolute blessing. If you check out the video below, you’ll see what might be the craziest flying race car we have ever seen.
