Doc’s Street Beast VS The Sonoma, The 55, and Plan B To Take The BIG TIRE Win
Kansas International Dragway held its huge No Prep Mayhem event last weekend and Street Outlaws nitrous badass Doc brought his Street Beast Monte Carlo to take on some of the biggest no-prep names in the game, and he mowed them down to take the Big Tire class win!
Facing off first with the ever-potent Sonoma of Jackie Knox, Doc had to resort to pedaling and sawing the wheel to keep his Chevy between the centerline and the guardrail, but he took the win easily over the Sonoma due to the truck pushing left toward the centerline and causing Knox to lift early. Up next, Doc faced off with the boosted ’62 Impala from Baker’s Rod Shop and once again has to fight the car, but gets to the stripe first to take the win.
Up next, The 55, a car that has been somewhat of a force to be reckoned with in the no prep world lately. After a pair of insane burnouts and a lengthy staging duel of sorts, the pair stage up and throw down in a hell of a race, with the crowd having to wait anxiously for the call from the top end. Doc just edged out the gorgeous Fifty-Five to earn a spot in the finals against Plan B, the sleek black ‘Vette formerly driven by Daddy Dave.
The pair of bowties face off for the winner’s check, and the race is so close that they have to rewind the tape from the top end and to see who won. After several tense moments – and some animated smack talk on the starting line – the call comes in that Doc took the win, making him the No Prep Mayhem Big Tire Champ! Congrats to Doc and the Street Beast team for their badass performance!
