BREAKING – Former Top Gear Host Richard Hammond in Hospital After Serious Crash
Sure, the iconic trio that used to be behind the Top Gear television show and now is at the helm of The Grand Tour has what appears to be the ultimate dream job for any car fan. However, that isn’t to say that the job is free of any danger. When you’re behind the wheel of a high-powered automobile, you never really know what’s going to happen.
Recently, during a filming session for The Grand Tour, presenter, Richard Hammond lost control of the vehicle that he was behind the wheel of and ended up plowing straight into a wall where the car would then be set ablaze. It’s a scary scenario to say the least and one that could make your heart jump into your throat when you see it unfold.
Thankfully, Richard was able to get out of the vehicle before it went up in flames when he was airlifted to the hospital for a knee injury. None of his injuries are said to be life-threatening and we would assume he will be back on the show before long.
This just goes to show you that even the cushiest jobs in the world still come with their ups and downs.
The video below shows the moment where Richard lost control of the car as it was set sliding into a crash.
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before his knee gets healed up and he can be in front of the camera yet again. This is certainly a scary moment no matter what the outcome.
