Coast Guard Rescues Sinking Yacht Killer Footage Shot in POV

Out in the seas, you really never know what is going to happen, thankfully, when a worst case scenario unfolds, the Coast Guard is there to back you up. In this situation, we follow along with a tangle in which a super yacht went down in the drink, taking millions of dollars to the bottom of the sea with it. However, when it came to the crew on board, it simply wasn’t an option to take human life down with the ship. Therefore, it would be up to the Hellenic Coast Guard to hop to action and attempt to rescue the eight crew members who remained on board the ship as it began to descend into the water below.

All the action happened about five years ago in the year of 2012 when the super yacht that went by the name of “Yogi” began to sink off the coast of Skyros, Greece. Recently, the folks over at GoPro, the ones who make the awesome action cameras that you see filming all kinds of fast moving sequences, put the story out there on their YouTube channel, tuning us all into exactly what happened on that day and showing us the heroics of the Coast Guard as they descended to the boat and saved the people remaining on board.

You can follow along with the dramatic situation down in the video below as a helicopter comes to the rescue of the last eight people on board as the boat tips sideways in the rocking seas. A situation like this has to be terrifying for those on board and I bet that they are super thankful for the brave folks in the Coast Guard who dropped down out of the sky and came to the rescue! Without brave men and women like them, who knows what would’ve happened with the sinking ship or if the people on board would’ve ever managed to find a way to get back to safety again.
