UPDATE : All 3 Three Victims Shot At Great Lakes Dragaway In Union Grove Have Passed Away
UPDATED August 14th 2017
UNION GROVE — Sunday, August 13th three people were shot in an unfortunate incident at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin. It has gone from 1 dead to 3 now that have been confirmed dead, the Kenosha County sheriff has reported. The three were identified as David Watson, 30, from Oswego, Ill., Khalid Howard, 30, from Aurora, Ill., and Derek Edwards, 26, from North Aurora, Ill.
The facility has been evacuated amid a heavy police presence following the shooting. An investigation is ongoing. Details are vague at this point, no suspects name, nor the motive has been named but Sheriffs believe gang members from Milwaukee and Chicago were at the drag way and may have been involved in the shooting. Great Lakes dragaway is the home of “tuff-e-nuff” Brian Mitchell, his famous blown nova that raised on a Discovery Channels popular program Street Outlaws, and the famous Chitowns KOTS “aka” King of the streets.
It is known for a family friendly atmosphere and facility with no known incidents similar to this before. This is the 2nd incident of the weekend where a shooting occurred at a race track as another shooting happened Saturday night at a race track in Darlington, South Carolina where one person was injured when “their weapon fell to the ground, and an accidental discharge injured them”.
