Street Outlaws Daddy Dave Is Almost Ready For Light Out 9 And His Car Sounds Nasty!

Lights Out annually draws a massive pilgrimage of racers and fans from all over the country, and even from outside the country, to South Georgia Motorsports Park for a massive party where some pretty damn good racing breaks out. Just over a week from now, the festivities will officially kick off when qualifying opens on Valentine’s Day, signaling the start of a five day long love affair with radial racing  the likes of which is unrivaled until the fall, when we’ll return to SGMP for No Mercy.

Eager to join the fun, Street Outlaws star Daddy Dave has slapped some small tires on Goliath, his ProCharged Chevy II and will be heading south and east from Oklahoma City to take on the wild-west style No Time Shootout, where the only rules are that there are no rules. As long as you show up in a radial car with two doors, you can jump into the NT class. However, having seen some fo these cars lay down big numbers in class-racing form before they hit the back window with that shoe polish N/T, you better bring your A-Game to this deal or you’ll get showed up real quick.

Knowing this, Dave has quite literally built a car that could probably compete in Radial vs the World, but in order to keep his car’s potential under wraps, he decided to keep the clocks off and instead will be duking it out with the heavy hitters in the No Time Shootout. Thanks to his massive new ProCharger, one of the largest the company manufactures, force-feeding a ProLine Engines-built 481X powerplant, Dave has bumped the horsepower in Goliath an estimated 1,000 over his previous conventional big block combo. As most of you know, Dave was the #1 qualifier in Outlaw Drag Radial last year with a pair of 4.21 passes and could have been competitive in the class had he not redlighted away his chances in the second round.

With the added horsepower on tap, look for Dave to be squarely in the thick of the fight for the purse, currently sitting at a cool $36K, in the N/T Shootout at Lights Out 9!
