If you’ve been paying attention to the auto market as a whole, one thing that you might’ve noticed is that in recent years, trucks have managed to find a way to grow vastly in popularity. As more and more folks have found their way into the truck market, it has really expanded in every way imaginable. Not only are companies taking it upon themselves to make the current versions of their trucks better and more diverse, bringing together every option that you can possibly imagine to the trucks that make the market look completely different than it did even as recently as a decade ago but they’re also expanding upon the current segments to make completely new trucks that are reinventing the platform as we know it.
As recently as a year or two ago, if you said something about a diesel truck, everybody’s mind would immediately veer toward a three-quarter ton or bigger. However, in recent additions to trucks across the American vehicle landscape, we now get to see trucks come to life in the half ton diesel segment. It proves to be a pretty interesting middle ground between the big and heavy trucks that can really haul a load and the light duty full-size trucks that are designed to be a touch more practical. If you don’t exactly want all of the size that comes with diesel truck but admire some of the functionality, these new diesel-powered half ton trucks are certainly for you.
If you follow along down the video below, you’ll get a complete tour of the Ford F-150 King Ranch that is now fitted with a Powerstroke diesel.
