How to open a lock with 2 wrenches

If you take one look at all of the videos out there about cracking open locks and how easy it is, you might just be a little bit apprehensive about the hardware you used to keep your property safe.

Although it’s never cool to steal or snoop, I bet there’s been a time in your life when you’ve come face to face with a padlock that you can’t open. Maybe you lost the keys to your bike lock or found and old trunk in the basement with a lock on it, whatever the reason it’s probably happened to you.

In a useful video,  MrGear demonstrates how to open a padlock using two nut wrenches. Chances are you have at least one of these laying around your house and if not they can be purchased at your local hardware store.  You never know when life will throw you one of those curveballs.

All you need to do is place the wrenches on either side of the metal loop and pry them apart in the opposite direction. Within seconds the lock should pop open. This handy trick relies on the pressure that builds up between your hands and the wrenches. You don’t even have to be super strong for it to work.

This video uploader cracks open a series of locks in just seconds, leaving us to wonder if they’re even worth using! Check out the method below to see for yourself. We’re going to go ahead and trust that you guys will be mature enough to use this for good and not evil. Be good!
