Zr1 Triggers OnStar With Hard Track Acceleration on a Hot Lap

If you talk to old school hotrodders, they’ll certainly have some stories for you that get bigger and grander with each and every telling of such a story. Whether we’re talking about pulling wheelies on the streets or perhaps something like slapping a $100 bill on the dashboard and challenging the passenger to go after it, it seems like the stories end up getting more and more grand in scope with every turn of the calendar. However, every once in a while, one of those stories that seems to be a little bit too hard to believe ends up getting captured on camera, something that’s obviously getting more and more prevalent with cameras being seemingly everywhere these days.

This time, we can join in on such a story as it definitely was captured on camera for everybody to be able to see and if it wasn’t, I’m not too sure that anybody would believe it. In this one, we drop in on the action of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 as it’s making couple hot laps to see exactly what this finely tuned performance oriented beast can handle. However, before long, it would just so happen that something would go awry within the car’s electronics to the point where the safety systems would alert OnStar that something might not be right, at which point, the operator would reach out to the driver to see if everything was smooth sailing.

The encounter was honestly a touch awkward as the driver seemed to be caught incredibly off-guard, rightfully so, when OnStar came over the speakers and started asking him if he needed any help. In any case, this is going to be one fun story to tell people for the rest of forever at almost any family gathering. It doesn’t get much more badass than driving so incredibly intensely that your car thanks to you might’ve just eaten the wall, all without touching anything!
