Fire Destroys A Twin Turbo Lamborghini
Nobody likes to see awesome cars left in ruins, but that’s exactly what we’re seeing today with this video from The Royalty Lifestyle. These guys, who rent exotic and high-end cars in Las Vegas, had a space heater malfunction and catch fire, spreading to the twin turbo Lamborghini Gallardo sitting nearby. As soon as the flames reached the car, it erupted into flames itself, leaving the Royalty team scrambling to try to save the car, as well as everything else around it in the shop.
In the aftermath, we can see that the car is pretty much a total loss, with the whole interior being destroyed as well as much of the bodywork of the car. The fire looks to have affected nearly every panel of the body, leaving the car to need a total overhaul if it is to be rebuilt. The owner admits to not keeping insurance on the car, since he never drives it, so that means he’ll be on the hook for every cent of the repair.
Of course, if you have the money to build a twin-turbocharged Gallardo, you probably have the money to replace it as well. The other guys from the shop give their recollection of the events as they unfolded, discussing how the fire spread and their actions trying to prevent it from spreading any farther. They yanked nitrogen tanks and oil tanks off the walls and moved them away from the flames, and did the best they could to clear the area around the car as it burned to keep anything else from catching fire. As you can see in the video, it does appear that the damage was limited to the Lambo, and of course, some water and smoke damage to the building itself.
Much of that can be cleaned with some elbow grease and maybe a little paint, while the car itself will require a little more work. Hopefully, the guys can bring it back to life over time and rebuild it into something even better than it was before.
