Wild Rat Rod Flat Bed Throws Down on the Skid Pad
One thing that you should know about the land down under and those who like the skidpad is that they’ll slide just about anything. Australians seem to be super intense when it comes to their burnout competitions. To be honest, they really have a massive leg up on those here in America. These ladies and gentlemen that hit the skidpad really know how to put on a show. Sometimes, that might mean popping a couple of tires or maybe setting something on fire. At the end of the day, the folks will do what it takes to give the crowd their money’s worth.
In this display, we check out something that might be a little bit more offbeat than what burnout fans are used to. The platform here is none other than a flatbed truck. The machine is rather large and doesn’t look like it would make the ultimate skidpad competitor.
However, when push comes to shove, the platform throws that sentiment in our faces. As soon as the throttle is cracked, those wheels are spinning and sending massive clouds up into the sky. This thing certainly proves that it can hold its own out there on the pad. It manages to get lost in the puffs of white smoke several times!
By following along with the video below, we check in with “Smoknrat.”
The rat rod truck would be cool enough as it is. When we find out that it’s a burnout professional, we can’t help but fall in love even more. There’s just something about vehicles that find a way to compete in a class where they wouldn’t normally be expected that gets our gears going. This truck is certainly one that grabs our attention as it puts on a show. It really teaches us not to judge a book by its cover!
