Certain Hertz Locations Will Rent High Horsepower Camaros Later This Year
Over the years, Hertz has taken part in some interesting moves to try and draw in an audience. At times, they’ve even participated in the creation of their own line of automobiles. Back in the 60s, the Mustang GT350h was probably one of the most recognizable examples. In a deal with Ford, the company would rent out the 306hp fastback Mustangs to those who might not otherwise buy them.
With that in mind, we would say that Hertz is a company that has shown they aren’t afraid to try something new.
Recently, it looks like the brand is taking on another endeavor. In certain locations, customers will now be able to rent a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro customized by Hendrick Motorsports.
The opportunity will allow drivers to get behind the wheel of something rather special. Some of the cars will come with a 6.2L V8 that deals 480 hp. Other examples will be Callaway supercharged, delivering 750 hp based on the ZL1 platform. Some cars that have already been delivered to Hertz locations and should become available to rent in October.
It seems like the idea is just like it was in the old days. The company wants to give people the opportunity to try these cars out who may never otherwise by them. After all, these machines might be awesome but they’re not exactly practical for everyone. However, if business calls, maybe spending a couple of extra bucks on a rental is in the budget.
By following along with the video below, we get a tour of what the 2020 Camaro will offer.
