What Does a Ported Supercharger Actually Do – Let’s Look Inside!

With all of the changes happening in the automotive community, there’s one that we really can’t help but get behind.

Over in the Dodge camp, there seems to have been a major shift that now focuses more on high-performance applications. We aren’t sure what clicked with the company. However, seeing releases that are supercharged and making massive horsepower is definitely fine by us. With offerings like the Demon and Challenger Super Stock, it’s hard to not be impressed.

As one of the most intense cars on the streets, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye boasts 797 hp when it rolls off of dealer lots. However, as is the situation with basically every factory car, there is surely room for improvement. From the design of the supercharger all the way to the fuel delivery system and just about everything in between, enthusiasts have really dug into these things.

This time, we tune in with Bretton Brown from Forza Tuning and Performance as he tells us exactly how all that works. How could somebody take the factory supercharger and make it even better? As it turns out, on the Hellcat Redeye that we’re giving away, a little bit of supercharger modification has been thrown in the mix to squeeze out some more power.
