570HP Camaro Restomod is Built to Drive, Makes Serious Muscle Daily Drivable
Old school American muscle is cool and all but by the standards of what’s on the market today, it doesn’t exactly provide a ton of power. Instead, we think that most people who get behind the wheel of American muscle machines with original power plants might be a little bit disappointed. Therefore, there is a rather expansive market designed with making these cars faster in mind. When it all comes together, it definitely creates a rather interesting spectacle.
This time, we tune in with the likes of a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. I don’t think that there’s any denying that this is a car that draws widespread admiration in its original form. However, the owner behind this machine thought that he could do a little bit better. In place of the original power plant, we find the likes of a 6.2L LS. The car isn’t one that we would consider an all-out drag racing machine or anything like that. However, the 500 hp or so that makes it to the rear wheels definitely wakes this car up a little bit. Not only is the machine more powerful. It’s also probably much more fuel-efficient as well along with being more reliable. The old school components are admirable for what they are but it’s really hard to battle it out with something that’s decades more efficient.
From there, things only continue to get better. After considering the power source, we take a look at the suspension, the brakes, and even the interior. Long story short, it seems like just about every bolt and nut was considered in this resto-mod that really brings the old school machine a new breath of life. We can’t help but fall in love with these modern meets retro creations that take the best of both worlds, merging them into one machine that really shows a lot to love.
