Sorted (Ep. 3) – Which Street Car is the Fastest on the Track?
For those who haven’t gotten up to speed, there’s a new series on YouTube that’s digging into cars in a way that we haven’t really seen before. Most of the time, a competition between cars is simply to figure out which one is the fastest in a straight line or can get around a track in the least amount of time possible.
This time, though, race cars need not apply because the Sorted series attempts to figure out which vehicle does the best of everything. Sure, seeing fast race cars zoom around the track is impressive. There’s a reason why advertisers spend millions of dollars to get their names on various racing machines.
However, over here in the real world when most of us are shopping for performance vehicles, we can’t all buy race cars. With that in mind, we still don’t want to sacrifice speed if it’s unnecessary. Therefore, a series like this gives us an idea of which types of cars can be the best of both worlds.
In previous episodes, like this one, we got to see the high horsepower cars head to the streets to see how they would be able to handle regular driving. This time, though, we get to check into the performance of these models as they’re handed over to Tanner Foust to go head to head on the race track with each other and the control car, a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
By following along with the video below, we get to see combinations rise and others fall by the wayside. At the end of the day, there has to be one car that is as close to perfect as can be when it comes to being well-rounded. The goal of this series is to get to the bottom of that exact question and it just so turns out that there’s a lot of action on the way to learning as much as we can about the candidates. – superspeedersRob
