Dewayne Mills Goes For Scary Ride In "Golden Kong" On Street Outlaws

With the lack of racing that has come this year as COVID has crushed a lot of event schedules, we have to admit that we were even happier than usual to see new episodes of Street Outlaws hit TV screens. With that, it looks like the show is certainly looking to deliver a bang this year as we are going to watch not only the 405 list sorted out after a shakeup but also a “Mega Cash Days” event that brings 64 of the world’s best street racers to center stage to see who’s boss. $600,000 will be on the line.

During last night’s programming, the first hour was dedicated to this reshuffling of the list in the 405 with elimination racing. The second two hours were dedicated to the “Mega Cash Days” which seemed to steal the show as the main event.

Unfortunately, for a popular competitor, DeWayne Mills and his car, Golden Kong, things wouldn’t exactly be so great to get the season kicked off in the Cash Days portion of the program.

During his first race of the elimination-style bracket, Mills would draw Jeff Lutz and “The 57,” one of the strongest competitors on the streets. However, winning or losing the race would become the least of Mills’s worries as he would end up losing control of his car. After the rear end of Kong kicked out, it appears as if the conditions would not allow Mills to correct the car. With that, the Chevrolet Camaro would go flying into a field and do several barrel rolls before coming to an eerily silent standstill.

Fortunately, Mills would be pulled from the car and only complained of soreness, a favorable scenario given how destroyed the car was. The event originally happened in late summer 2020 but just now made its way to the airwaves with this week’s episode of Street Outlaws. Mills has since found his way back to competition.
