Abandoned 1969 Dodge Charger Runs After 20 Years
When you take one look at a car like a 1969 Dodge Charger, you would imagine that it would be a machine that would find its place, held in high regard in just about anybody’s garage. Sure, even as a car that’s sitting in feel left to rot, it’s something to be appreciated, however, as that previous sentiment implies, it’s definitely not reality that every last one of these things has been maintained to showroom quality. It might be a good idea, in theory, but in practice, not everybody is going to be able to have the means to keep her all of these things perfect. Sometimes, life just gets in the way and the car is left to be the sacrifice.
This time, we catch up with an abandoned 1969 Charger that appears to have been sitting for quite a few years, however, that doesn’t stop the 440 cubic inches under the hood from roaring to life. Sure, this thing has its fair share of clunks and bruises all around and the engine sounds like it might need a little bit of freshening up, but it’s really amazing to see just how easy it appears that this car fires up and runs. Heck, if they could get it in driving condition and safe for the streets, that nice little coat of patina would probably make this thing a showstopper at car shows.
Follow along in the video down below that shows off this once abandoned Mopar that would appear to be in the stretch of coming back to life once again. Every project has to start somewhere and even though this car appears to really need some loving in its life, it looks like a really good starting point for someone to build their ideal hot rod. With the ’69 Charger, we know that the person behind this one most certainly has a good place to start and if all goes according to plan, this could be one insane machine when all of the bolts are turned.
