Airplane Hits News Reporter in the Head… He’s Going To Be Late For His Next Story
Today, we check out a throwback from the 1970s that really had us laughing good. The scenario really seems like a skit right out of a sitcom!
It probably wasn’t funny at the time, but now, hopefully, Richard Wyatt, the reporter that we see in this video is able to laugh about it now.
We’re told that this local television news reporter was getting ready to do a piece on the Weston-super-mare airshow. In this show, a “flour bombing” exhibition would be one of the main attractions.
To promote the show a bit, Richard would make himself a target of a flour bomb for a fun little news item, but the airplane got just a little bit too close and with a loud “Clunk!” Richard would be down for the count.
Afterwards, when being transported to the hospital for what later was discovered to be non-life threatening injuries, all Wyatt was concerned about was being late for his next news assignment.
