All You Need To Build a Jet Engine is a 3-D Printer?
With the way that technology is shaping up these days, it looks like there will soon be a day where you can press a button and whatever it is that you want will be created right in front of you with the help of machines like the 3-D printer. If you’ve never seen one of these things in action, they are pretty amazing little machines that can manage to crank out just about anything that your mind could imagine and then some. In this one, we check out the results of a 3-D printing session that has come together to form a fully functioning jet engine. It’s crazy to think that all of the parts to this machine were essentially printed out of nothing more than a little bit of media and a good plan.
As you can see toward the end of the video here, it has taken this designer a couple of steps to get the file just right as his former prototypes are burnt up until crisp. However, as he stayed consistent with his idea and kept on improving the design little by little, it looks like he’s managed to put a pretty big gap in how ready to roll his design really is. The end product here makes it look like he’s been designing things like this for years and you definitely have to admit that he’s made a lot of progress over the burnt pile of ashes that was the original design.
Check out the video down below that will take you along for the journey that shows this 3-D printed jet engine firing up and running. To think that something like this came from pretty much nothing is wild think about to say the least. As this technology gets better and better, just imagine the possibilities when people figure it all out.
