Awesome Parents Surprise Kids and Find a General Lee in a Barn!
The General Lee is one of the most widely-recognized and beloved TV cars of all times. The 1969 Charger faithfully endured endless abuse from Bo and Luke Duke, a pair of mischievous-but-good-hearted cousins from fictional Hazzard County, GA on the long-running television show The Dukes of Hazzard.
When these parents had the opportunity to buy a General Lee replica, they decided to set up a barn find scenario for their kids to “discover” the orange Charger, and the reaction is priceless. The trio of boys react as if they’ve found the Holy Grail itself, nearly falling over each other in excitement as they scramble around the barn and check out the General. Obvious fans of the show, the boys point out the accuracies of the car such as the push-bar style front bumper and the ubiquitous “01” emblazoned on the side.
When dad fires up the engine around the 5:30 mark and gives it a rev, one of the sons nearly loses it! Check out the video below and watch the pure overwhelming happiness the boys show when they get their first look at their own General Lee!
