When Your Beadlock Falls Off During A Dyno Run

Sometimes, when participating in high horsepower performance, some obscure things can happen. There are a lot of moving parts going on at once with any build. The number and intensity of moving parts will tend to climb up the ladder as the horsepower numbers go upward.

All of these parts need to be in great working order for the finished product to be desirable. Everything needs to work together for that great outcome. Otherwise, we run into a situation where maybe things will go awry. Perhaps, a situation might even get dangerous. This is why it’s important to remember to be alert and aware near the dyno or the race track.

This time, NXGonzoVideo catches us up to speed on the situation where thing simply didn’t go right. As the bumper-dragging Chevy Luv that we have seen on the race track makes its way to the dyno for a little bit of tuning, things end up escalating in a hurry.

At first, everything seems normal. This is just another run-of-the-mill dyno session with a badass truck. The truck made its way to the rollers in order to do a little bit of tuning. However, before we know it, everything flips on its axis and things get crazy. In an instant, parts are flying and the tire on a rear-wheel is coming off.

By following along with the video below, we catch up with the hectic situation. Apparently, the bead lock holding the tire on wasn’t torqued down properly. Therefore, the ring went flying across the shop and ended up blasting into the door panel.

Unfortunately, there was some damage done to the bed of the truck. However, it does look like nobody was injured in the process. That’s pretty lucky considering that the ring could’ve gone absolutely anywhere and certainly could’ve impaled some skin.
