Ben’s Twin Engine GTP 1st runs at the dragstrip

Yes, you read that correctly.This boosted Pontiac Grand Prix GTP has twin engines, much like a boat. How is it different from it’s nautical counterpart? Instead of having both engines mounted next to each other in the rear, this GTP has one at the front and one at the rear to drive each set of wheels. From what we understand, the AWD monster makes north of 1000hp, talk about a sleeper!!

 

Just how fast does a boosted twin engine application go? Well the Prix’s best time clocked in at a 10.02, but according to the video uploader the track was quite damp during this run. The owner’s goal with the car is to break into the single digit realm and we’d say he’s knocking on the door of a 9-second pass should he have the proper conditions for racing.
