Big Chief in the Crow vs Jeff Lutz in the ’57, Rage for the Number Two Spot!

The battle on the streets that you get with Street Outlaws is definitely something that is going to keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what’s going to happen each and every time. While racing on the track definitely has its share of surprises, the inconsistency offered by the street and the need for drivers to really wheel their cars and also have just about the perfect setup come race time really makes things a bit more unpredictable. The fact that the surface being raced on isn’t prepared and maintained, coordinated with the fact that drivers are always trying to put down more power can make for quite the bustle on race night.

This time, we involve ourselves in a race that has a lot of factors going on that could make either one of these drivers come through victoriously. One of our favorite aspects, perhaps, of this kind of racing, is that even if one driver gets off of the line to a good start, that unpredictability carries on down the track as you never really know what’s going to happen next.

In this one, we watch, intently as it seems like Jeff Lutz and the always gorgeous and competitive ’57 seems to leap off of the line as if it were easy. However, from there, it seems like Big Chief begins to reel him in and it really makes for a good finish as the Crow comes around hard in the second part of the race, definitely winning in the back half – but is it enough?

Would the ’57 have what it took to overcome the Crow and take a victory to move from number three to number two or would Chief have enough fuel in the tank to be able to muscle his way around the competition, putting the power to the ground in such a way that would allow him to hold on to his spot and potentially have a shot of moving up to number one in the future? Both of these drivers are putting all that they’ve got into this race in order to have the opportunity to battle with the number one contender on the list but unfortunately, only one can come out on top.
