BMX Bicycle brakes fail Wreck At 50 MPH!
Out of the box, we would assume that BMX bicycles designed for doing tricks and riding around slowly aren’t necessarily manufactured to be able to carry a rider while rolling along at 50 mph and that was a lesson that this guy ended up learning the hard way.
You know what they say, if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes and I don’t think that there is a phrase that does a better job of summing up what happened here then that one. This rider set out to tackle a stunt of sorts as he would hold on to the side of his buddy’s truck and get up a head of steam amounting to 50 mph or so before letting go. It was at this point that it looks like the rear brake on the bicycle would lock up and not be enough to stop it, instead sending the man into a vicious speed wobble, slamming him to the ground with a fury.
Check out the video below as this stunt gone incredibly wrong put this guy in the situation of wishing that he had never tried something like this out in the first place. A stark reality check like this will make sure that he thinks twice next time before trying something like this again.
