Boosted LSX Powered RX-7 Throws Down and Gets Rowdy
When it comes to events like Holley’s LS Fest, enthusiasts are able to come together over one shared passion. Every person at Beech Bend Raceway Park that weekend either enjoyed LS performance or was wheeling an LS powered ride.
Some of the vehicles at the event could be filed into the “conventional” category. There were plenty of folks who were looking to modify their cars and trucks that already came with LS power from the factory. However, on the other hand, it was important for spectators on the premises to keep an eye out for other kinds of vehicles as well. This is because just about anything in the pits could be LS powered.
This time, we just so happened to stumble upon a vehicle that loves itself a little bit of LS power. Rotary enthusiasts may argue that the Mazda RX-7 can be built to be strong competitor with the rotary still under the hood. They might have a case there, too. This particular dose of Mazda just so happens to have a Chevrolet V8 under the hood, though.
Builds really don’t get much more polarizing than this, if you ask the rotary community. However, it’s pretty difficult to argue with the results that come with such a combination.
By following along with the video below, we join in with quite the showing. Not only is this Mazda RX-7 so clean that you could eat off of it. It also has a performance to match. There’s something so satisfying about this turbocharged combination that really makes this small but mighty machine roll out.
At the end of the day, when push comes to shove, this machine is going to be an absolute handful. No matter what vehicle ends up in the next lane over, odds are that this Mazda is going to pack a heavy punch. – BigKleib34
