Brutal NHRA Accident! Crewmember ran over by Top Fuel Dragster

If you have ever been lucky enough to stand at the starting line of a big time drag racing event, you know that the action is just about second to none as you can feel the roaring engines in your chest when get a front row seat to watch major power get put to the test.

However, with this opportunity comes a great responsibility to make sure that you are carrying out the safest and most vigilant practices that you possibly can. Lots of moving parts up there and can and will cause a catastrophe if you aren’t careful with what you are doing.

This time, we tune in to a four-wide NHRA drag racing event that has all kinds of action as teams hustle to get their Top Fuel Dragsters ready to go to battle. In the heat of the moment, though, we watch as one of the crew members gets tangled up in some friendly fire that he won’t soon forget.

The video below captured it all as the man stood in the way of a burnout and ended up being thrown down to the track. If you watch around the 55-second mark, you can see it toward the bottom of the screen. We searched for an update on the man’s condition and didn’t find any info but it looked like he was able to get off of the track under his own power. Hopefully, he was able to fully recover if he did sustain any injuries in the incident.
